Laptop Computer Facility
All students
joining the B.Tech. Program will be given laptop computers at the beginning of
the Program as computers are extensively used for studies and assignments at
IcfaiTech.
Mode
of Payment
All
payments should be made by way of demand draft drawn in favor of "The
ICFAI
University Common Fund A/C Icfaitech" and payable at Hyderabad.
Admission
Fee
All
successful applicants who have been offered admission in the B.Tech.
Program of IcfaiTech are required to pay the admission fee on or before
June 16, 2008. The admission fee is non refundable.
Caution
Deposit
All
students are required to pay a caution deposit of Rs.10,000 along with the
first installment of the tuition fee. This deposit is towards use of
library books, computers, labs and other facilities.
The
Caution
deposit will be refunded without interest (and after adjusting for dues,
if any) to the students on completion of the program.
Merit
Scholarships
To encourage
meritorious students, IcfaiTech offers merit scholarships up to Rs. 2,00,000 in
the form of concession in the tuition fees to the applicants who emerge as the
top 50 rankholders in the ATIT 2008.
The fee
concession varies from installment to installment depending on the performance
of the students in the previous semester. Merit scholarships will be continued
semester after semester subject to the students maintaining minimum stipulated
academic standards, like minimum CGPA of 8.00, attendance, etc., and remaining
among top 20% of the batch in academics.
Merit
Scholarships are also awarded to other students in order to encourage them to
continuously perform well in at IcfaiTech. IcfaiTech fixes a couple of
thresholds of academic performance for this purpose. The topmost students in a
semester are awarded scholarships amounting to half the tuition fees, while the
students in the next best category get a quarter of the tuition fees as
scholarship amount. All scholarships are in the form of fee concessions.
Contribution
to Student Activities Fund
Students are
required to contribute Rs. 11,000 to the Student Activities Fund. The fund is
administered by a committee consisting of student representatives and faculty
under the supervision of the Director. It is utilized to finance student
activities including special classes for development of soft skills, placement
brochure/placement-related activities, participation in competitions, picnics,
cultural events, welcome and valedictory functions etc. It is also utilized to
reimburse hospitalization expenses of students up to Rs. 1,00,000 on account of
illness and accidents during the course of their study at IcfaiTech. The payment
of Rs.11,000 is to be made in two installments of Rs. 5,500 each, along with the
second and sixth installments of the tuition fee.
Membership
Fee for ITAS
All students of
the B.Tech. Program of IcfaiTech are required to become members in the IcfaiTech
Alumni Society (ITAS).
The provisional
membership in ITAS entitles the students to participate in seminars, workshops,
conferences and local chapter activities organized by ITAS. The membership fee
is Rs. 10,000 payable along with the last installment of the tuition fee.
Housing
Deposit
Hostel facility
within the campus is available at IcfaiTech Campuses in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
All candidates who will be joining the campuses at Hyderabad and Bengaluru
should stay in the hostel accommodation available within the respective
premises. They have to pay a hostel deposit Rs. 10,000 along with the first
installment of tuition fee, in addition to the room rent.
Off-campus
housing facilities are available at other IcfaiTech campuses for students
seeking hostel accommodation. Such students are required to pay Rs.
10,000 as housing deposit along with the first installment of tuition fee.
The Housing
deposit will be refunded without interest (and after adjusting for dues, if any)
to students on vacating the premises.
Bank
Loans
Banks provide
educational loans to the applicants selected for the B.Tech. Program of
IcfaiTech. Applicants are required to approach bank branches in their respective
cities/towns for educational loans. The loan amount will be disbursed in stages
as per the fee schedule.
The interest rate
applicable to education loans is around 9-12%. Loan documents should be executed
both by the applicant and the parent / guardian with joint and several
liability. Repayment starts one year after completion of studies or six months
after getting a job (whichever is earlier).
